How long does a set of dentures last ?
A set of dentures can last anywhere between 5–10 years. This is mainly down to the fact that your mouth and gums are constantly reshaping, even after your teeth have left. We recommend regular checkups with your prosthetist to ensure your dentures stay healthy. Click here to arrange an appointment.
How do I clean my dentures?
Cleaning your dentures is quick and easy. Simply pop them into a sink of water and start scrubbing them gently with a specialised denture brush and denture toothpaste. Don’t use normal toothpaste as it is too hard on the dentures and will cause pitting.
We suggest you do this at least 2 times a day to avoid discolouring and staining. You can also use a daily or weekly soaker to help remove plaque. Our clinics sell soakers and a range of denture brushes—come in to purchase one today.
How much do dentures cost?
The price of dentures can vastly differ depending on your personal situation. We recommend you arrange an appointment with a prosthetist to determine a more certain cost.
What are partial dentures?
If sections of your teeth are fine and healthy, you may only require partial dentures. Partial dentures—otherwise known as a bridge—are designed to fill in the gap between several missing teeth. Click here to find out more.
Should I take my dentures out at night?
This totally depends on the type of dentures you choose. We suggest talking to your prosthetist to find out whether or not it is recommended.
